Karon Viewpoint (Three Beaches Hill)

Karon Viewpoint sits on the hill road between Kata and Nai Harn and looks back over three beaches in succession — Kata Noi closest, then Kata Yai, then Karon stretching north towards the horizon. It is the most photographed spot in southern Phuket and rightly so.

There's a parking area, a small café, and souvenir stalls; come early morning or late afternoon for the best light and to avoid the tour-bus crowd. About 10 minutes by scooter from central Kata; tuk-tuks ask 200–300 baht for a return trip with waiting time.

A story
Locally called 'Khao Saam Haad', or Three Beaches Hill, the viewpoint takes in Kata Noi, Kata Yai, and Karon in a single glance — a postcard of Phuket's south-west coast unrivalled anywhere on the island.
