A large, glassy seafood restaurant on Beach Road, the Patong branch of a Bangkok institution. Tanks at the entrance show off live grouper, lobster, mangrove crabs, and tiger prawns, all priced by weight; pick what you want and choose how to have it cooked — steamed with garlic and ginger, grilled with chilli sauce, or fried whole in a tamarind glaze.
The space is brightly lit and aimed at tour groups, but the kitchen is reliable and the prices, while not cheap, are reasonable for what you get. Good for sharing among a few people; less atmospheric than the cliff-top restaurants but a solid bet for a seafood feast.
