Wat Sorasak

Wat Sorasak is a small but distinctive ruin near the north gate of Sukhothai Historical Park. Its bell-shaped chedi rests on a base ringed by elephant statues, a classic Sukhothai image that makes the shrine easy to recognise.

The temple was built in 1412 and restored in the 1980s. It is a quick stop, but worth adding if you are moving beyond the park's headline monuments.
