Buses and minivans run from Bangkok's eastern bus terminal to Trat, taking roughly five to six hours depending on traffic. Trat Airport is outside town and useful for quick island connections, though schedules are limited. For Ko Chang, Ko Mak, and Ko Kood, onward transport usually continues by songthaew or minivan to the piers around Laem Ngop.
