Baan Tawai is a wood-carving village turned handicraft wholesale centre, on a much bigger scale than anything in the city itself. Workshops and factories here produce and sell everything from small carved souvenirs to full-sized furniture and statuary, along with antiques, textiles, and home decor sourced from around the region.
It's less a single market than a strip of shops and workshops, best explored with a car or hired truck given how much you might end up buying. Many vendors can arrange shipping for larger pieces.
