Good View is one of the oldest and most popular riverside venues in Chiang Mai, spread across a large open-air terrace on the east bank of the Ping River. Live music — usually Thai rock, pop, or covers — plays most evenings, and the atmosphere is cheerful without being overwhelming.
The food is Thai standards done competently; the reason to come is the riverside setting and the cold Singha. It's a good choice for a long evening meal with a group. Tuk-tuks from the old city take about five minutes. Busiest on weekends.
