Wat Phra Chao Mengrai is a quiet Old City temple with two wihan buildings and a gently worn atmosphere. One hall contains the important Buddha image Phra Buddha Rupa Phra Chao Mengrai.
It is a useful pause between Chiang Mai's better-known temples, especially for travellers who want a less crowded stop close to the centre.
