Doi Khao Kwai, or Buffalo Horn Hill, is a local viewpoint above Chiang Rai. The reward is a broad look over the city and the low hills around it, especially clear after rain has washed the haze out of the air.
The climb is short but steep, so it is better treated as a small hike than a casual stroll. It is a useful stop if you want a view without making a full excursion out of town.
