Wat Analayo Thipphayaram spreads across Doi Busarakham, west of Phayao and above the lake. It is a large temple complex rather than a single building, with forested paths, shrines, and viewpoints back toward town.
The site is worth the short trip out if you have transport. The buildings mix Lanna, Burmese, and Tai Yai influences, but the strongest memory is often the setting: quiet hill forest, temple roofs, and Kwan Phayao below.
