Bangkok to Bang Saphan by Road

Air-conditioned express buses connect Bangkok and Hua Hin to Bang Saphan

Express air-conditioned buses run from Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai) to Bang Saphan, with the journey taking around five to six hours depending on traffic. Buses from Hua Hin also cover the route in about three hours.

A car and driver or taxi is the other road option — more flexible if you have luggage or are heading to a resort outside of town. The highway (Route 4) is in good condition all the way down the Gulf coast.

For a more scenic and relaxed alternative, the train runs along the coast and stops at Bang Saphan Noi station, with 2nd class air-conditioned coaches and occasional 1st class carriages on certain services.
