Khao Kalok

Khao Kalok is the rocky headland south of Pak Nam Pran, where the beach narrows and the coast starts to feel wilder. It is the most scenic stretch around Pranburi, with limestone rising behind the sand and small boats moving close to shore.

The beach below the headland is better for a quiet walk than for a full resort day. Bring water, watch the tide, and do not expect much shade in the middle of the day. It is especially good in late afternoon, when the cliffs catch warm light and the wind usually drops.

A story
Khao Kalok means "Skull Mountain", a name usually explained by the shape of the limestone headland at the south end of the beach. From the sand it looks modest; from the water it gives this otherwise gentle coast a sudden dramatic edge.
