Alaçatı Old Town

Alaçatı's old town is the part that sells the postcard: narrow cobbled lanes, restored stone houses, painted shutters, flowering courtyards, and tables spilling out from cafes and restaurants. It can feel polished, but the architecture is genuinely handsome and much better preserved than in most Aegean resort towns.

The best streets are around Kemalpaşa, Hacımemiş, and the market square. Go early in the morning for quiet lanes, or after sunset when the heat drops and the town starts behaving like an outdoor dining room.
