Cape Baba is the geographical reason many travellers make the detour to Babakale. It is the westernmost point of the Turkish mainland and, by the usual continental line, the westernmost point of mainland Asia.
The final rocks are rough rather than ceremonial. If you do not want to scramble, the harbour wall gives almost the same end-of-continent feeling with far easier footing.
