Taş Mescit

Taş Mescit is Çankırı's most important surviving Seljuk monument, built in the 13th century as part of a religious and medical complex. The hospital has gone, but the stone mescit and tomb keep the memory of that older city alive.

It is a quiet stop rather than a grand one, but it gives Çankırı a historical weight that the newer centre does not immediately show.
