Altinkum is Didim's holiday face: a sandy bay, a long promenade, and the usual line of cafes, sun-bed concessions, and family restaurants. It is not wild or especially subtle, but it does what a town beach should do, with easy swimming and enough life around it to make a lazy afternoon simple.
The beach is at its best outside the highest summer crush. In July and August, arrive early or accept that the promenade will feel more like a resort machine than a quiet Aegean shore.
