Gazipasa-Alanya Airport is the reason many travellers first hear of Gazipasa. It sits a few kilometres from town and saves a long transfer from Antalya for visitors heading to Alanya and the eastern resort coast.
As a sight it is not interesting, but as travel infrastructure it changes the shape of a trip. If you land late, staying in Gazipasa for a night is calmer than pushing straight on to Alanya.
