Batık Camii, the "sunken mosque", is another partly submerged mosque along the flooded gorge north of Halfeti. Boat trips often turn around near it, giving a close look at the minaret and the drowned village setting.
It is less a conventional monument than a visual marker of the dam's impact. Seen from the water, it helps make Halfeti's story immediate.
