Eski Halfeti is the old riverside settlement, partly flooded after the Birecik Dam was completed. The surviving lanes, stone houses, and waterside cafes now sit just above the lake, while the lower parts vanish below the surface.
Walk before or after a boat trip. The place is small, but the contrast between old masonry, still water, and the new town inland gives Halfeti its character.
