Germiyan Street

Germiyan Street is the best place to understand why Kütahya is worth stopping for. The cobbled lane is lined with restored Ottoman-era mansions, many with projecting upper floors, painted timber, and small courtyards tucked behind the street front.

It is not a huge preserved quarter, but it has enough texture to reward a slow walk. Go early or late in the day, when the houses catch better light and the street feels less like a set piece.
