Cakirlar Grove is a small wetland nature reserve west of Samsun, with boardwalks passing through ash and elm woodland. It is not a grand wilderness, but it is an easy place to see a quieter, greener edge of the Black Sea coast.
The reserve also has picnic areas, toilets, and a restaurant, so it works best as a relaxed half-day stop rather than a demanding nature hike.
