Aya Tekla is the ruined church and cave shrine associated with Saint Thecla, an early Christian figure especially venerated in this part of Anatolia. The Byzantine church above the cave is fragmentary, but the site still has the atmosphere of a pilgrimage place rather than a normal ruin.
It lies outside the centre on the road toward Tasucu, so it is easiest with a car or taxi.
