Alaaddin Mosque is one of Sinop's clearest Seljuk survivals, founded in the 13th century after the earlier building was destroyed. Its plain strength fits the town better than a showier monument would.
It is close to Pervane Medrese and the small museum circuit, so it works as part of a central walk rather than a separate expedition. Step in respectfully if it is open and not in prayer time.
