Sinop Archaeological Museum gives the harbour city some deeper time. The collection covers finds from the surrounding area, with ancient material, Roman traces, and Seljuk-period pieces.
It is not a museum to cross Turkey for, but it rounds out the fortress and harbour well. Visit it when you want the city to feel older than its prison story.
