Buruciye Medrese was built in 1271, the same great Seljuk building year that produced Gok Medrese. It was founded by Muzaffer Burucerdi and is laid out around a square courtyard, with heavy stone walls and carved details that reward a slower look.
Compared with Gok Medrese it is quieter and less theatrical, but it helps complete the picture of Sivas as a medieval school city. See it while walking the cluster of monuments around Cumhuriyet Square.
