Yürüyen Köşk, the "Walking Mansion", is a small waterfront house associated with Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Its fame comes from the story that the building was moved rather than cutting down a plane tree beside it.
The house is modest, but the story is good and the setting makes an easy first stop after the ferry. It also gives Yalova a more specific identity than the apartment blocks and port roads suggest at first glance.
