Zonguldak Mining Museum is the place to start if you want the city to make sense. The displays cover the tools, labour, and danger of hard-coal mining, with underground sections and simulations that show how the work felt below the hills.
It is not a grand museum, but it gives Zonguldak the context that the streets alone cannot. Visit before walking the harbour or old coal-transport remains.
