The Big Hole Walking Track runs through forest to the rim of an enormous collapsed limestone cavern in Deua National Park, southeast of Braidwood. It is a short walk, but the scale of the opening makes it feel wilder than the distance suggests.
Go prepared for a country park road and changing conditions. This is the natural counterweight to Braidwood's heritage streets, and the reason a spare day here can become more than a town stroll.
