Elizabeth Beach is one of the easiest beaches south of Forster, with gentler water than the more exposed surf beaches. Wikivoyage calls it a good family beach, and that is the right way to think about it.
It is a good choice when you want a swim rather than a surf session. The national park setting keeps the beach feeling less built-up than town beaches.
