John Murray's gallery gives the Ridge its painted self-portrait: emus, miners, dust, heat, and dry humour in bright outback colour. It is not a formal museum, but it explains the town's artistic streak better than a generic regional gallery would.
Stop in between mine visits. The work is funny, sharp, and local enough that even a short visit helps you see the landscape with different eyes.
