Shoalhaven Zoo sits on bushland near the river in North Nowra. It is a family-oriented stop, with native Australian animals mixed with a smaller set of exotic species and keeper-led encounters.
It is not a reason to cross the state, but it rounds out a Nowra day well if you are travelling with children or want an easy wildlife stop close to town.
