Lighthouse Beach

Long beach below Sugarloaf Point, with sheltered northern water and rougher southern surf.

Lighthouse Beach runs south from the headland below Sugarloaf Point. The northern end is the friendlier part, with rocks giving some shelter and enough clear water for relaxed snorkelling in settled conditions.

The southern end is quieter but more exposed. Treat it as ocean beach country: check the swell, watch for rips, and be ready to retreat to Boat Beach if the sea is up.
