Number One Beach is the beach that announces Seal Rocks as you arrive. It faces north-east, usually with smaller whitewater near shore and a right-hand point break farther out when the swell lines up.
It is a good first stop because it gives you the whole Seal Rocks mood at once: sand, headland, surf, and a village that still feels smaller than the landscape around it.
