The Entrance Bridge

The Entrance Bridge carries the Central Coast Highway across the narrow channel that connects Tuggerah Lake to the Pacific Ocean, linking The Entrance township to The Entrance North. The channel beneath it is where the lake breathes — a narrow aperture through which tidal water flows in and out, and the spot where pelicans congregate between their daily waterfront appearances.

The bridge is not a sight in itself, but the views from its footpath are genuinely good: the lake stretching away inland on one side, the ocean beach curving south on the other. A walk across and back takes five minutes and gives you the geography of the place at a glance.
