Tia Falls is a quieter gorge stop than Apsley, with picnic facilities, short walks, and views across the broken tableland edge. The falls are not always a thunderous sheet of water, but the setting is the point: open sky, cliff lines, and the abrupt cut of Oxley Wild Rivers country.
It works well as part of a loop from Walcha if you are driving the Oxley Highway. Do not rush the viewpoints; the landscape opens slowly as you move along the rim.
