Wisemans Ferry Park is the soft landing after the drive: grass, shade, barbecues, a small beach, and a close view of cars rolling on and off the ferry. It is not a major sight, but it is exactly where you want to sit if the river is the point of the trip.
Bring a picnic rather than expecting much choice in town. On busy weekends, arrive early or be patient with ferry queues.
