Five Islands Brewing Company is a craft brewery and bar in central Wollongong, named after the five small volcanic islands visible offshore from the city beach. It occupies a converted space near Crown Street and brews a rotating range of ales, lagers, and seasonals, alongside a food menu of wood-fired pizza and bar snacks.
The brewery has become one of the better places in Wollongong to spend an afternoon — the tasting paddles are good value and the staff generally know their beer. It draws a mix of students, locals, and visitors, and gets lively on weekends without being unpleasant.
