Angourie Blue and Green Pools

The Blue and Green Pools at Angourie began as quarry pits for the Yamba breakwall and are now deep, still swimming holes beside the ocean. The reserve is culturally significant to the Yaegl community, and traces of the old quarry work remain around the water.

The pools are a fine hot-day stop, but check local signs before swimming; algae closures happen in warm weather. If the pools are closed, the nearby rock pool and beaches still make Angourie worth the short trip from Yamba.
