Turners Beach

Turners Beach curves below Yamba's lighthouse headland, close enough to town for a quick swim but still shaped by the river entrance and the breakwall. It is one of the easiest places in Yamba to pair a beach stop with a headland walk.

The lighthouse above was built in 1955, and the area forms part of the Lower Clarence Aboriginal Tourist Site Drive. Toilets, picnic facilities and parking make it an easy first beach if you have only a short stop in town.
