The Lambing Flat Chinese Tribute Gardens sit at Chinaman's Dam, about four kilometres south of Young. Pavilions, bridges, stone lions, and the Pool of Tranquillity make it a calm place for a walk or picnic, but the setting is not just decorative.
The gardens acknowledge the Chinese miners and settlers who came to the Burrangong goldfields, including those targeted in the Lambing Flat riots. Visit it with the museum in town; the two sites make more sense together.
