Fishing charters and river cruises are Karumba's main activity in the dry season. Some trips focus on barramundi and blue salmon, while others work the Norman River and Gulf edge for crocodiles, crabs, raptors, and wetland birds.
Book ahead in the main visitor months. This is a small town with seasonal operators, and weather, tide, and road conditions all matter more here than they do in a normal coastal resort.
