Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum has a large collection of military memorabilia, colonial objects, and local records. Its best-known draw is a Victoria Cross from the Gallipoli campaign, but the museum is also useful for understanding how a small Queensland city fitted into Australia's wider military history.
