Bustard Head Lighthouse stands north of 1770 in the sandy coastal country of Eurimbula National Park. It is best reached on organised amphibious LARC trips, which turn the journey itself into part of the attraction: tidal creeks, beach driving, dunes, and views back across Bustard Bay.
The lighthouse gives the Discovery Coast a rougher historical edge. It is remote enough that you understand why this coast once felt far from everything.
