Piper's Lookout is a Hervey Range viewpoint west of Townsville, with a wide view over the country below the range and, on clear days, out toward the coast. It is a short, easy stop if you are driving the range road rather than a full outing from the city.
The lookout pairs naturally with the nearby Hervey's Range Heritage Tea Rooms, which give some local history and a place to pause before heading back toward Townsville or farther inland.
