The Moonta Miners Cottage fills in the part of the mining story that engine houses cannot tell. Its rooms and garden show how mining families lived around the copper field, with a scale and plainness that suits the place.
It is a small stop, but a good one after the museum. The cottage makes the Cornish settlement feel like a community rather than only an industry.
