Port Germein's foreshore is a simple picnic-and-tide place rather than a conventional beach. The shallow gulf can leave a very long walk to the water at low tide, while higher water brings fishing, crabbing, and broad sunset views across Spencer Gulf.
It is best approached without resort-town expectations. Bring food, watch your feet around crabs and mud, and let the tide decide whether this is a stroll, a picnic, or just a good place to sit for half an hour.
