Whistling Rocks and Blowholes

The Whistling Rocks and Blowholes are the loudest stop on the Cape Bauer Loop, where a boardwalk leads over dunes to viewing platforms above the cliff edge. When the swell is right, air and spray are forced through cracks in the rock, turning the coast into a low, booming instrument.

It is worth timing for high tide or rougher seas, though the cliffs are impressive even on calmer days. Stay behind the barriers; the point of the place is the power of the water below you.
