Hopetoun Falls is one of the Otways' most photogenic waterfalls, dropping into a green, fern-lined gully. The viewing platform gives a quick look, but the lower track is better if you can manage the stairs.
It pairs naturally with the redwoods and other Beech Forest-area stops. After rain it can be powerful and muddy; wear shoes that can handle a damp track rather than treating it like a roadside lookout.
