Campari House occupies a narrow building on Hardware Lane, rising five storeys with different bar areas on each level and a rooftop terrace at the top. The rooftop is the reason to come: a small open terrace with some of the best views over the CBD laneways, exposed brick, fairy lights, and a crowd that tends toward professionals unwinding after work. It can fill up fast on warm evenings.
The cocktail list leans toward bitter Campari-based drinks, as the name suggests, but the full menu is competent and varied. Hardware Lane itself is a wide laneway lined with outdoor cafes and restaurants that is good for a pre-drink stroll.
