RAAF Museum

The RAAF Museum at Point Cook is the main museum of the Royal Australian Air Force, set on an active air-force base southwest of central Melbourne. Its hangars hold historic aircraft, engines, uniforms, photographs, and displays that trace Australian military aviation from early training flights to modern operations.

The setting gives the museum more atmosphere than a city-centre aviation display. Check opening days and access rules before going, as base security and tour arrangements can change, and allow for the distance from central Melbourne.
