Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum preserves an unusual wartime story: during the Second World War, the lake became a repair and service base for Allied flying boats. The centrepiece is a restored Catalina, backed by displays on the crews, mechanics, and local people who kept the base running.
The museum is about 16 km south-east of Swan Hill, so it is best treated as a short drive rather than a town-centre sight. It is especially worthwhile if you like aviation history or want a reason to see more of the Murray flats beyond Swan Hill itself.
